Frequently Asked Questions

Here are the answers to some of our most commonly asked questions. If the answer to your question does not appear below, please feel free to call us on 07917 850280 or Contact Us here

BALLOON MODELLING

Can Balloon Models cause allergic reactions?

Balloons can on rare occasions cause allergic reactions - eg allergy to latex. We accept no responsibility for this and if you believe that you or your child have a latex allergy then balloons are best avoided.

Are there any age restrictions for Balloon Modelling?

Yes. Balloon models can be given to children aged 3 years and older. For younger children we can give the balloon to a parent or guardian but they are responsible for supervision of its use. We accept no liability for injury sustained by balloons after they have been given to a parent or guardian. We do not recommend balloons for children under 2 years old due to their tendency to put things in their mouths which creates a choking risk.

BOUNCY CASTLES AND SOFT PLAY EQUIPMENT

Why is a bouncy castle or soft play hire the same price for a couple of hours or for the whole day?

The work required by us in terms of travel, set up and pack up of the inflatable or soft play is the same regardless of how long you hire it for. Our fees are based on a 2 hour booking but we do not charge any extra for a longer booking. Therefore you can hire for 2 hours, 4 hours or even the whole day and you won't pay a penny more!

How do I know that the bouncy castle I book with you is safe to use?

We pride ourselves on the quality of our service and the equipment that we supply. All of our inflatables undergo annual safety inspections by an RPII registered inspector to ensure that they comply with current safety regulations. All units carry a PIPA tag and the certificates can be seen upon request. All blowers and extension leads are regularly PAT tested.

We are members of the BIHA (British Inflatable Hirers Alliance) and the UK Inflatable Hirers Club, promoting safety and good practice in the industry.

Do you charge a delivery and set up fee for bouncy castles and soft play?

We offer free delivery and set up within Sutton Coldfield and Lichfield. Travel fees may apply for deliveries further afield.

Is my garden or venue big enough for the bouncy castle?

The dimensions of all of our castles are shown on the individual castles. Space must be allowed around the outside of the castle for a safe set up. Please ensure that you read the 'SIZE' information to see how much total space is required for your chosen castle. In particular you will need to check the height requirement for indoor bookings as some venues will only be high enough to allow our lower height castles.

Will I still be charged if my booking is cancelled due to bad weather?

Many of our castles have rain covers and will still be usable in the event of light showers. All outdoor cables supplied by us are waterproof and suitable for outdoor use. However, inflatables should be not used where wind speeds measure force 5 on the Beaufort scale (19-24mph). We monitor the weather forecasts and where we consider conditions to be unsafe we will contact you to discuss any alternative options. Customer safety is paramount and we will cancel if we believe this to be at risk.

We operate a 'Rainy Day Guarantee' so if your booking is cancelled due to inclement weather you will not be charged. Any deposit paid can be carried over to a future booking.

Can the castle be used on hard ground or does it need grass?

We prefer outdoor hires to be on grass as it is easier to peg down into the ground for the safest possible set up. If your ground allows for the inflatable to be pegged then it may be possible for us to set up but please note that we DO NOT hire inflatables on hardstanding such as tarmac or concrete where pegging down proves impossible. Please beware of companies using one sandbag per anchor point on outdoor hires as this does not meet HSE guidelines and the inflatable will not be safely anchored.

EVENTS

Can I hire a castle for my event and charge people to use it?

Yes. We hire out inflatables for many events and the set up/pack up are all carried out by our trained staff. However, you will sign our terms and conditions assuming full liability for the use of the inflatable whilst in your possession. We will of course instruct you on the safe use of the equipment but we would strongly advise that you obtain event insurance to cover you in the event of accidents as this will be your responsibility. We can provide staff to man the equipment for you for an extra charge.

Can you organise an event or fun day for my company?

Yes! We offer event management and can create a package to suit your exact requirements. We can provide child and adult entertainment, catering, music and more.

FACE PAINTING AND GLITTER TATTOOS

Can Face Painting and Glitter Tattoos cause allergic reactions?

All face paints and tattoo products used by our artistes are specifically manufactured for use on the skin and comply with FDA and EU regulations. However, please note that everyone's skin is different and all cosmetics can, on some occasions, cause allergic reactions. We accept no responsibility for this and any person under the age of 16 requires parental consent prior to being painted/tattooed. We are happy to carry out a skin patch test and if it is the first time of being painted/tattooed then we strongly advise that you ask for this. Please also refer to the advice below re removal of face paints/tattoos.

What is the best way to remove face paint? Do they stain?

All of our face paints are water based and we recommend removal with soap and water. We do not recommend removal with wipes of any kind. Some colours may occasionally leave a tint on the skin. This will fade within a day or so.

If face paint is on clothing, cold soak the item and apply a stain remover before washing in a normal wash cycle.

What is the best way to remove glitter tattoos?

Glitter tattoos can last for several days depending on skin type and aftercare. To remove apply an oily substance such as baby oil or moisturiser to loosen the tattoo. Then wash as usual. You may find a bath scrunchie useful.

Is there anyone who cannot be painted/tattooed?

Yes. For the safety and protection of all parties we do operate some restrictions:

We will not paint or tattoo sleeping children or intoxicated adults who have passed out.

We will not paint or tattoo anyone against their wishes.

We reserve the right to refuse to paint the face of anyone who appears unwell or with medical conditions such as (but not limited to); chicken pox, cold sores, psoriasis, severe eczema, open wounds, broken skin, conjunctivitis or other eye conditions, severely runny nose, infected skin, headlice. In these circumstances our artistes will use their discretion and MAY offer a hand or arm design instead. Our artistes decision is final and is made in the best interests of the child.

Face Painting is suitable for children aged 3 years and over. For children aged 2-3 years our artistes can offer an arm design. We DO NOT paint children under 2 years old.

Glitter Tattoos are strictly for children over 3 years old only.
